  • Japanese language skill is not required upon joining the company
However, English communication skills are needed in the case that an applicant cannot converse in Japanese. At CyberConnect2, all office correspondence is undertaken in Japanese. We have on site translation and interpretation staff who will support communication between Japanese and English.
  • We will support your Japanese language study upon joining CyberConnect2
We ask that all new non-Japanese staff members aim for at least level N3 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. In order to facilitate this, the company will provide Japanese lessons and assist with study.
Japanese Language Proficiency Test:日本語能力試験/Summary of Linguistic Competence Required for Each Level
We require that all new non-Japanese staff aim for a proficiency of Japanese in order to ensure smooth communication on projects.

However, the most important aspect of learning Japanese is to study and make steady, daily efforts at improvement.
Those who take advantage of both the 100 hours of Japanese lessons and support from the company, as well as their living and working environment in Japan, and who are proactive in learning and using the Japanese language outside of their lessons and workplace, are those who will see the greatest amount of success.

  • 150,000 JPY in monetary assistance will be provided for moving costs
However, as a general rule, a new staff member must move within 2km of the company office from a location 50km away or over. Monetary assistance for moving costs will be paid to a staff member upon them starting work at the company.
  • Support for working in Japan

    • Support for attaining a Japanese work permit (visa)
    • Assistance for finding a place to live
    • In the case that the monetary support provided by the company does not cover the total costs of moving, or if a new staff member is worried about their initial living costs right after moving, the company can provide further assistance in the form of a loan (please note that all money loaned to a staff member will need to be paid back to the company within 2 years of said staff member becoming a permanent employee).
