From its various studios in Japan, CyberConnect2 has developed licensed titles such as the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series, DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT, Jojo‘s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, and Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 as well as self-published titles including the Fuga: Melodies of Steel series. CyberConnect2 celebrated its 30th anniversary on February 16th of 2026.
This panel will look back on CyberConnect2’s 30-year long history, dive deeply into the company’s IP strategy, and share why they have decided to take on this latest challenge.
.hack//Z.E.R.O. was announced on February 16, 2026, to commemorate CyberConnect2’s 30th anniversary as their latest self-published title. Bandai Namco Entertainment, which has published all the .hack series thus far, granted CyberConnect2 permission to independently plan, develop, and publish this title as a new endeavor by the company.
The .hack//Z.E.R.O. key visual displayed here is also used as the key visual for the CyberConnect2 Exhibition. A talk panel regarding the .hack//Z.E.R.O. project will be hosted at Anime Expo, while the CyberConnect2 booth at Japan Expo will feature a dedicated corner with a miniature version of the CyberConnect2 Exhibition.
